If the horse is dead, dismount!

I can't believe that the summer vacation is over. The kids are back in school, which they were so ready for, the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cooler. Life has been interesting for us this summer as we have moved into our new home and finally have someone in our old home. We're still unpacking boxes and am having a garage sale this weekend to get rid of all the junk that we have accumulated over the past 8 years in the other house. I've burned 4 huge boxes of old documents that we had stuffed in file cabinets. It's crazy how many papers we receive that have personal information on them like ss#'s. No wonder people's identity gets stolen all the time.

Our small group project with the apartment completely fell apart. We had the apartment for about 4 months and didn't have a single person use it. So, we moved everything out this week and donated it all to another charity in town.

We have some interesting things coming up with our church that I can't share right now, but am asking for your prayers as we are seeking God's direction.

I guess that's the quick wrap up of our summer. I'm sure I missed a ton of stuff, but will try and get back into the swing of this blogging thing.

Hope all is well with the one or two of you who will check on this blog and read it.

Blessings!
